Divine LCHF Waffles
Create a fragrant breakfast or a delicious dessert with soft and fluffy LCHF waffles. You can enhance them with various spreads, melted chocolate, fresh fruit, or a spoonful of whipped cream. They’re excellent both warm and cold.
INGREDIENTS
For 4 waffles, you’ll need:
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of erythritol with stevia (Live & Love)
- 90 g of Mileram cream (or Greek yogurt, sour cream, mascarpone)
- 50 g of butter
- 3 tablespoons (50 g) of almond flour (Live & Love)
- 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar / baking powder
- 1/2 vanilla pod / vanilla extract / vanilla powder…
- BIO ghee butter (Live & Love) for cooking
METHOD
Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, whisk the yolks with the sweetener, then add the melted butter and Mileram/yogurt/mascarpone. Finally, mix in the almond flour with the cream of tartar, blending until smooth, and gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
Grease the waffle maker, place a scoop of batter in the center, and bake until golden.
Top your warm waffles with a variety of spreads. You can choose from a wide selection of sugar-free spreads available in our online store.
Enjoy!
MY TIPS
- The waffles (once baked) can also be frozen.
- If you prefer a savory version, simply omit the sweetener and add salt and spices to taste. You can also mix in a bit of Parmesan or grated cheese for extra flavor.
- No waffle maker? No problem! You can cook the batter in a pan as American-style pancakes or even as a shredded pancake (Kaiserschmarrn).
