Butter in the coffee?
I like coffee. I actually love it a lot. And ever since I’ve been on the LCHF/KETO diet, I love it even more. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because my taste has changed. I couldn’t even think of drinking coffee WITHOUT sugar before. In fact, I used to drink coffee with a lot of milk and 2 teaspoons of sugar. So it doesn’t taste like coffee at all…the real coffee. Well, since I’ve been on LCHF/KETO, I drink coffee WITHOUT sugar and with just a bit of milk.
My day starts with coffee. And not the normal kind, but with something a little extra. With an extra, which ensures surprised and questioning looks from colleagues or others present. Of course, I’m talking about fats – butter, coconut oil and MCT oil. Read more about MCT oil in a previous blog at this link. For me, a mix like that replaces breakfast, makes me full until lunch and fills me with a lot of energy. The intake of quality fats is also taken care of.
Coffee with added fat in the form of butter, coconut oil and MCT oil is also called KETO coffee, Bulletproof coffee, butter coffee… I often joke and say that this is rocket fuel, especially if you add pure MCT oil to it.
If you try KETO coffee for the first time and are in doubt about the taste and amount of fat, I must warn you… KETO coffee is CRAZY delicious and makes for a PERFECT start to the day. It fills us with energy, ensures composure and concentration. And it’s addictive. Don’t worry, it’s not a bad kind of addiction. This means that soon you will no longer be able to imagine a day without real KETO coffee, to have butter and MCT oil always in stock and that you will only smile at the surprised look of your colleagues or others present with your morning coffee.

Do you know where the idea for combining a hot drink with added fat comes from? Tibetans and Ethiopians have been using it for centuries and it is not a modern invention, although Bulletproof coffee only became known around the world a few years ago. Credit for this goes to a well-known biohacker named Dave Asprey, who named his fat-addled coffee brand Bulletproof coffee and gave it global fame.
