Stuffed Eggs
Stuffed eggs are an ideal addition to festive tables and platters. They can also be used as a cold appetizer on a holiday spread.
INGREDIENTS
- Hard-boiled eggs
- A few slices of ham-style bacon
- Finely grated cheese (parmesan, cheddar, pecorino, …)
- A few teaspoons of sour cream or herb cream cheese spread
- A teaspoon of mustard
- Chives, salt, pepper, garlic powder
METHOD
Hard boil the eggs, peel them, cut them in half, and place the yolks in a separate bowl.
Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry it until crispy. Save a portion of the fried bacon for garnish.
Add finely grated cheese, some of the fried bacon, cream cheese (or sour cream), mustard, and spices to the yolks, then season with salt to taste. Mix everything well to form a smooth mixture. Place the mixture in a piping bag, cut off the tip, and fill the egg halves. Garnish with the reserved bacon and decorate with chives.
